Howdy from Texas

Howdy folks,

Bought a new Wildwood (30KQBSS) in August, and we've spent about 40 nights in it so far with our kids, 5 and 7.

I grew up camping, but with 2 kids it's hard to spend as much time in the woods as we'd like to if we're just in tents... enter our first TT. Now we get to spend days hiking and climbing and come back and recharge in our "cabin on wheels".

We absolutely love the bunkhouse layout we got... with small kids, we can put them to bed at 8pm, CLOSE THE DOOR, and enjoy the rest of our evening without waking them up.

Just got back from Caprock Canyons for a 3-day weekend, about to spend 8 nights over Spring Break in Arkansas (Devil's Den), and 2 weeks dry camping in Rocky Mountain National Park in June (where we'll try the Walmart stopover).

Just got a westinghouse igen2500 gen and will add a couple of T105s before that dry camping excursion, but it really opens up the places we can go now.

We're loving it! Best purchase we ever made.

That looks like a perfect rig for camping with your family!

Gets you away from fire ants and the Texas heat too. Caprock Canyon is beautiful.

One tip... you might want to travel with some kind of bug barrier. We learned the hard way that sugar ants will climb up tires and find a way into kitchen cabinets for a stray cookie.

Happy camping!

Welcome from down the road a bit. At least I think so. It sounds like you're from the northerly part of the United State of Texas. Sounds like you're off to a great RV start. Hope to see ya down the road.
