Howdy from Texas RV Newbies!

My husband and I bought a 2104S Rockwood this past July. We have been able to take it for a spin several times and have had a blast! Many of our friends are RV owners and have learned so much from camping with different couples. There are so many things to learn about RV'ing and how to make the most of your time. Looking forward to some great adventures in the upcoming year!

Hello and welcome from the countryside near Sherman, Texas.

We lived in Highland Village and Lake Dallas before moving to the country.

Welcome from the Southeast of Texas, just above Houston. Good to have you aboard, and hope to see you down the road.

Welcome from a fellow Texan and another 2104S owner! Let me guess, it was the deep slide and Murphy bed that sold you, that's why the DW and I made the choice. We love our little home away from home.
Coastal Bend here, lots of great state and national parks to enjoy, plus some nice private campgrounds. If you ever find the need for some beach time head this way and we'll throw a few more fajitas on the grill.
Happy camping!

Ed and Sharon,

Any places you would recommend to take an RV in South Texas?

Hey David Bo,

It was absolutely the deep slide and Murphy Bed that sold us! I really love how open the RV is whether the Murphy bed is up or down! I do not like climbing from the foot of the bed to get into the bed. We had to have a small RV to park in the driveway or pay for storage. The 2104S was the best floorplan for our needs. We had a young man wax the RV for us and I showed him the inside. He said it was like the Tardis, it looks much smaller from the outside. Would love some recommendations to visit on the Coastal bend!

Hi George and Nancy. You are not to far from us. Any favorite places you like to take your RV?

The DW and I, along with the world's weirdest German Shepherd, just spent a long weekend dry camping at the Padre Island National Seashore, easily the finest stretch of unspoiled beach in Texas. We had a wonderful time and met some great people. Mustang Island State Park is another favorite of ours and it has water and power as well as cell service (need a booster for the PINS).
Rockport has pretty much recovered from Harvey and is a great, funky little town. Nearby Goose Island State Park is nice with both waterfront and woodland spots, but no beach. There are also plenty of private parks to chose from, some with pretty good veteran and senior discounts.
Come on down and have some fun!

Well, it depends on what you are looking for. Do you have kids? Do you like nature? Do you want to do local touristy things? Antiquing? Or are you just looking to get away from it all for a weekend (or so)?

It looks like DavidBo did a good job of the coastal bend. Let's see what you are looking for and see if we can get you there.
