Just getting started
Hi everyone!
My wife and I just purchased a 2000 Windsong that is in decent shape. There are definitely some fixes to be made, but we are excited to be marking things off of the list. We have had new tires put on, restrung all of the day and night blinds, and purchased the 50 to 30 plug adapter so that we can hook up our generator for power.
Next in the list is to re-seal the windshield (it is slightly out of place and has a couple of good gaps around it), replace the egr valve, and have the exhaust manifold gasket and bolts replaced. We also need to thoroughly clean the entire rig and look into a water leak under the sink.
After that we will be cleaning the tanks (the black water sensor isn't working so it is probably super gunked up) and cleaning and recoating the roof.
It is a lot, but we got a good deal on it and are more than willing to put in the time and elbow grease to get our new investment fixed up.
We will be boondocking in it part time until we can get a permanent home built on our 40 acre homestead.
I am super excited to have found this forum, as I am sure that we will have lots of questions and will benefit greatly from everyone's knowledge and experience.
