Just got my first camper, and can't wait to take it out!
Hey all! Just picked up my first camper - a Coachmen Apex Nano 213RDS Off-Grid. Love the thing already, even having just hung out in it in the driveway so far. I work as a remote (from home) programmer and web developer and have taken to working from the camper during the day. I have already set it up to be internet ready even when boondocking so that I can work from it. My wife works remote part of the time, as well, and we are just waiting for her to be on her 3 weeks remote to take it on the road.
I also am a performer at several - and increasing - renaissance festivals as a music act called "Luku the Mad Skald". This was a big deciding factor in taking the leap and buying a camper. I will be performing in Connecticut the last two weekends of May and then 7 weeks straight in Kentucky this year.
Happy to join the ranks!

Welcome to the family!
Welcome to the group. Enjoy your travels. If you make it down to Texas in the fall, do check out the Texas Renaissance Festival. Can't say enough good things about the TXRenFest. Starts in October this year and they are auditioning performers. Decent camping on-site, however, it is primitive, so boondocking is the key.

I would love to perform there. I have a couple friends that perform and vend there, so it's definitely on the list of places I want to get on at. I know the guys in Tartanic from when they used to perform at Kentucky Highland Renaissance Festival.

I definitely would! They're probably all booked up for this season, however, as their show starts in July.

Congrats on your new trailer! I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it.
When you say you've set it up for remote work, can you explain that please? In my position, I'm thinking of just using my cell phone as a hot spot and connecting my laptop to it.

I will get together a tutorial on what I did later today! I may actually film a video of what I did and a tutorial on it. I can get 30mbps down all day long - and I live in the country - and can power my setup off of the USB port on my stereo even when boondocking.
