Just ordered a 2022 Rockwood 2109s Mini Lite
Hello,
New to the forum. My wife and I are retired and just ordered a 2022 Rockwood 2109s Mini Lite. Really like all the advice, tech tips and experiences that I’ve been reading in the forums. Can’t wait to get ours and get camping.
Mike

Congratulations! The info states it has a 2” receiver on the rear. Do you know if this is frame mounted or bumper mounted. I didn’t see any mention of the weight of the trailer on the few sites I looked at. What is your tow vehicle?

They're frame mounted. Look at Rockwood dealer videos online, e.g., Haylett RV. You can skip through them until they get to the back of the trailer. One of two should have a decent view of the hitch.
While it is exactly the same Lippert hitch rated by other trailer manufacturers to tow vehicles, Rockwood rates them only to carry 300#. They're intended for accessories like cargo or bike carriers.

The 2" receiver is frame mounted, with a 300# load carrying rating. The 2109s itself is in the 4300# dry weight range. We picked up our 2021 in March from dealer inventory (after a nationwide search!).
It is a great small couples camper, with the build and features of a larger rig.

Thanks Capacitor, The forum has answered your 2” receiver question. The new 2022 factory specs show the dry weight @ 4493 (which is up from 2021), carrying capacity @ 1344 and GVWR @ 5837. My tow vehicle is a 2007 Ford F-150XLT 4x4. It has the 5.4 Triton, 4 speed auto trans,3:73 gearing and factory tow package.

Congratulations on the order. What time frame were you given as an estimate? I'm hearing 6 months, a long time to wait!
We are taking a drive tomorrow to look at a 2109S on a dealer lot to finalize the color selection. i will probably custom order as we want options that are not on this particular unit and cannot be dealer installed.
I was disappointed in the weight revisions for 2022. A contact at the factory stated that it is due to the frame being beefed up to a 8" I beam, different fresh water tank and the solar panel that is now standard. I'll be right at the limit of the Ranger's hitch capacity even with careful loading of gear.

Thanks JimM2109s,
We were also told 6 months with a chance of 4-6 months, depending on production cycles for the 2109s. The options we ordered were the extra 190w roof solar panel, upgraded AC, slide topper and extra maxxair fan. For colors we got the Newport Ash cabinets and Stone fabrics. Waiting is no fun but will be well worth it when we get it. Good luck with your order!

Turbo2, add a white exterior and thermopane windows and we'd have twins!
Congratulations again! We'll have to let each other know when the stork arrives, if we remember that far into next year!

Sounds like they’ll be building some very similar 2109’s - we ordered the exact same options on ours about 4 weeks ago. Our dealer here in Ontario also gave a 4-6 mo timeframe.🤞

According to our dealer they got an 8% price increase last week- fortunately the dealer agreed to price protect us when we bought.

Congratulations on your purchase! We also had our dealer agree to lock in the price on our contract, they will absorb any price increases.

We love our 2109S and it’s receiver hitch. Certainly worth the wait. 2 years, lots of miles with no problems.

Hi everyone, was just wondering if anyone had taken delivery of their recently ordered 2109 and had confirmed the increased frame size. Thanks!

We ordered our flagstaff 21rbs in July and it arrived the week after Christmas. Hopefully you'll have it before June.
