New 2021
Hello all. Just recieved a new 2021 forest river salem 240bhxl and looking forward to a great camping season. We are new to the rv world and can't wait for warmer weather to get started. Towing with 2016 ram 1500 . Yup its got a bemi. Lol. Has 393 gears and should tow fine. What do ya'll think?. Take care Brian

Welcome Beerman. Interesting screenname. Something tells me you might like, oh, I don't know, maybe beer?? Anyway, it looks like the Dodge should be fine with that trailer. Though the mountains may slow you down a bit. I reckon we'll see in a few weeks yeah. So, let us know if you have any other questions. This forum has a wealth of knowledge. Someone will know. Welcome! You’ll be fine! I’ve got a 2020 Salem 27rks 33.5’ bumper to hitch..weighs bout 7700-7800, I tow with ‘09 f-150 with the 5.4 and 3.55 axle...tows just fine! Would I go out west? No..but around the tri-state area of Ohio its fine! This is a great forum, but dont ask too many questions about weight!! The weight police will tell you you need a 1 ton duelly rigged with 2 supercharged diesels to pull that rig!! They kill me! Lol have fun!
