Unfortunately we had some quality issues out of the gate and the camper spent a lot of time in the service dept near Hershey in the months after delivery. A week after we took delivery we noticed a good amount of water on the kitchen floor, kitchen sink and shower before we even had a chance to use the camper. The unit was back in service and after troubleshooting it turns out both skylights were cracked (either from overtightening the screws at the factory or cheap plastic skylights from the supplier - likely the latter) and rain water was getting into the camper
. This actually triggered a TSB from Forest River to owners of affected units with these new skylights so they could be replaced under warranty. Ironically one of the selling points for us was the new style fiberglass roof surface with wrap round edges on the walls hopeful that we would not have any leaking issues.... and they installed crappy new skylights so water got in anyway !!!
In a separate incident we also has a fresh water leak behind the shower that ended up leaking down the wall and into the main room. So it was back for service for this issue as well. After inspecting, tightening, testing and recaulking the shower fixture we got it back and everything was fine my thought was this was likely a high water pressure issue and have since bought a new water pressure valve on the city water connection since I left my previous one behind a campground last year. It was still disturbing to see water all over the floor coming from the wall on a brand new unit.
There was also a learning curve for us with the tankless water heater. (our first camper with this style water heater). Once we understood how to use it it works great and we can take consecutive showers with no lapse in hot water at all !!! Great feature !!! We learned from youtube how-to that setting the temp on the panel and ONLY turning the hot water faucet on in the shower gets you the desired temp with ne deviation or cold bursts.
The only other concern is the full glass exterior door can be really difficult to close as it appears the frame has a bow near the handle (apparently by design to create a better seal when closed). However on a full glass door, both the manufacturer and service dept says they can not adjust/bend the frames on a full glass Lippert door. Lippert even sells a
camber adjustment tool for this purpose but they have also confirmed it can not be used on a glass door. Again ...
We realize nothing is made perfect anymore but we worked through the issues with the dealer and are enjoying the new camper. We had a great first season and thoroughly enjoyed the layout. I will say the service dept in Hershey (Camping World) was really good and communicated along the way with updates and findings.
Best of Luck !!!
