Greetings from Clarkdale, Arizona! (What? You've never heard of it? Look for Sedona and we're not far away.)

My wife and I finally upgraded from a pop-up tent trailer to a (gently used) Salem travel trailer this weekend so we would not continue to have to set up the pop-up every night on the road. Our shake-down trip will be up to canyon country in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona, probably centered around Canyon de Chelly. Since picking up the new rig, we've been busy stocking it and customizing it, and testing all of the features. One thing I already know I want to do is change out the outdoor stereo speakers, but I'm having a time finding some that will fit the space. 6" rounds, but only 1-3/4 inches deep. Everything I find on the market now is 2.5" deep or better. Anyone know of some reasonably good low profile speakers like the (apparent) originals?

to the forum and congratulations on your new trailer. Sorry I can't help you with your speaker question, but definitely know where Clarkdale is. The Verde Canyon Railway is great day trip.

Thanks!

Thanks for the greetings. I'll put up a photo once I get around to taking some. I'm hoping that we enjoy this trailer as much as we have our various pop-ups. The electric awning should save us 20 minutes per stop alone, so we feel like our range has been expanded! We're sort or pushing our tow weight limit, so we intend to try to run without much on board water. Anyone have good advice on some good place to fill up, other than campgrounds?

We're former Clevelanders (Bay Village, actually) so a special shout-out to the Medina gang here!
