New camper and no where to go!

Hello, (Dave from PA) This is my first post on this forum. I'm not new to camping (we've owned 7 travel trailers and just bought our first fifth wheel) but I am new to posting on an RV forum. I just wanted to comment on the fact that we purchased a new 2019 Rockwood Ultra Lite fifth wheel in November of last year with the anticipation of camping and fishing in PA with the new unit in May. Then came Covid-19!!!!!We also have reservations for the Rocky Mountains this summer, and now that looks rather uncertain! Since we are no longer spring chickens we are being pretty cautious about leaving the house for fear of the virus. I guess our first outing will be in our backyard!

Welcome from Maryland. Bummer, to have a new toy and not be able to use it yet. Even though ours is not brand new, we are also bummed to have our first couple of planned trips canceled for us. Hopefully it won't last through the whole summer and we get out.

Welcome from Missouri. I feel your pain. We have had our first 2 trips cancelled as well. Hoping this all clears up soon and we can go camp.

Welcome from Texas!

Can you do any 'driveway camping'? It's not the same as the Rocky Mountains, but at least you'll be able to figure out where things will go before getting on the road.

So far the campground we have reservations for in South Dakota the first week of June still plans on being open. The Governor closed all the Nebraska State parks, but the NRD campgrounds are still open ??? government at it's finest. I'm so glad we found our cabin in Missouri two years ago. Just down there last weekend.

Welcome! Our big trip this year is to be in CO. For the last 5 years we planned several trips that we had to cancel due to health issues! Looks like this year it will be cancelled for us!

Welcome from Virginia !!!!

The backyard is probably a great idea for now.

We went on our first camping trip the second was canceled and the third probably will be by the looks of things.

Hello Dave from Dave, me and my wife recently retired and purchased a 2020 Flagstaff e-pro 19 fd moving up from a pop up of 21 years, we had a trip scheduled for March starting in Virginia and ending in Tennessee mostly national and state parks, covid 19 ended that trip, hopefully things will get better in a couple months, we try to stay home as much as possible put our trust in America.

Welcome from upstate NY. We wanted to get back out west this summer also. As you said, it's not worth the risk to travel just yet. We're taking the time to get the rig in tip-top shape to travel when the time comes. God Bless, K&W
