New campers from MN

Hi all, my wife and I have been kicking around ditching our tents for over a year now. We test drove some downright scary, semi-rotted, 20 old RV's to start with, then started looking at hybrids and have finally settled on Forest River travel trailers, in our budget range of $8-14K. We have two dogs that will join us and I have street legal dirt-bike to carry in the truck bed - can't wait to for Spring to arrive! Will post about the candidates I am going to be making an offer on this week in another post. Mark

Welcome from a fellow Minnesotan! Most RVs are not designed to last 20 years so you are wise to look at something newer. Post the specific model you want and you will probably get lots of advice on what to look for as far as problem areas are concerned.

Thanks for the Welcome! Texas sounds great about now, nice photo BTW. We are looking at used a 2012 Rockwood 2304s and a new 2014 2304 (no-slide). I already started a long-winded 2nd post on that subject
