New campers in Maryland

We took delivery of our V-cross 365vtsb in December, and found out the slide in the master bedroom was leaking! We took it back to the dealership and after 8 weeks we brought it home to find out it still leaked. The dealer came and picked it up this time ( 2 1/2 hr drive) and brought it back after a week. Hopefully it is fixed as we want to go camping. We have the slide open and we are waiting for rain to test it. Now the front and back jacks stopped working. We found a blown fuse.
We are hoping this is not going to be an adventure of problems....We do have our first trip scheduled for memorial weekend and we are looking forward to that.
The Forest River Forum has already helped us solve a thermostat problem so we are glad to have this resource.

Congrats on your V cross is this your first camper. We picked up our new FW this January from the dealer after waiting 2 months for them to do a few repair's of things we found during a PDI. And our dealer was 2-3 hours away but it all worked out in the end. As for your electric Jacks had a fuse blow on me so I installed a ciruit breaker in place so it will reset it self, it will fit in place of your fuse perfect no cutting or splicing. We did our first trip this weekend at Frontier Town, we always start our camping season on Easter weekend. We are going to Hagerstown Yogi for Memorial weekend.

Welcome to the forum farrells. Here's hoping that the slide is leak free and you get the back jacks working again.

Thanks Mike!

Yes, it is our first camper and we are pretty clueless. The day we picked it up and the dealer went over everything, we figured out about 10 minutes into the overview that we had no idea what he was talking about. There is so much to remember. We figured we would read the manuals, but we have now found that those are really of no help. Now we are down to trial and error...
We pulled the fuse out of the wiring for the jack in the front. How do you install a circuit breaker in its place without cutting wires and where would we get one of these? Now I suppose I have a question in the wrong forum...

Hi I understand clueless the first time the family went camping it rained all weekend. To top it off we went to take the dog for a walk and got locked out of our camper and truck in the pouring rain. My boy thought he was being helpful by locking everything up including the keys, lots of lessons learned that weekend. Here is a pic of a circuit breaker that you can use that is easy to install just match the amps to what fuse you have now. You can get this at any auto parts store.

Hey Thanks! Forest River has been very helpful. We are not happy with the dealer, but Forest River has been really helpful to us. We are confident that they will get us straight and have offered to take the trailer to Indiana and work on it.
