Talking New campers, old folks!

Greetings from the Shenandoah Valley of VA. My other half and I are new to camping (not counting tents), and are looking forward to going out on our first adventure soon. Sadly, the weather has gotten cold, so we are waiting for better days.

We recently purchased an Apex Nano 189RBS, pulled by a 2017 Honda Ridgeline. We decided to start light and not invest a huge fortune until we are sure we want to keep doing this. For now, we are thinking this is the beginning of amazing times!

We have enjoyed this forum so far and have benefitted from your extensive expertise, and look forward to contributing as time goes on.

Happy November!

Welcome to the forum from central Florida... be careful though.. many on this forum, us included like this too much and stuff happens..

We started just like you in 2012...pulled our Apex with a Toyota Highlander..

We then moved up to an F-150 and a Rockwood 30’ bumper pull..

And now a 37’ 5th wheel with an F-350 TV... this all happened between 2012 and 2015..lol... hope to see you down the road

I’m sorry about the upside down post.. this website can’t figure out how to fix that, I guess..

Welcome from SW Ohio.

Use your time wisely before the first trip. Plan. Reserve public rv spots early.

Start that pile in the house of stuff for your rv.

Amazon beat a path to my door.

Read the FR posts every day. Ask questions. There is a lot to learn, hopefully the easy way.

Welcome!

Like dalford says, it is very easy to quickly move up in size. We started with a pop-up. We had that for a year and then started moving up. We moved next to small pull-behind (Avenger 21RB), to a larger truck (F-250), to a larger pull-behind (Avenger 28RKS), to a fifth-wheel (Crusader 315RST) in 5 years.
