Smile New Clipper 17FQ Owners from Manitoba

Hello,

We purchased a new 2016 Clipper FQ this year and just love its size and utility. We pull it with our 2015 Subaru Outback 3.6L and are amazed at how easy it is.

We are just back from a one month, fifteen state trip to Arizona through Montana Utah, Nevada and California, over to Texas and home to Manitoba, Canada.

We picked up a 19 inch tv and are very interested in hearing how to mount it so that its viewable from dinette and bedroom, which mount to purchase and how to install it safely.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Welcome to the forums from another Manitoban. Congrats on the new clipper. On the tv I would use one of the moveable mounts.

welcome and enjoy I have a 2017 17ft clipper FB I just mounted a TV a 24 inch on the wall beside the top cabinet that is over the stove. If you can find a mount that is movable it would help so you could move it off of the wall when traveling. I found one that I have to take a bolt out so I can place the tv on the bed while traveling. I found some on ebay that are all position I can watch from the dinette or change it to watch from the bed.my wall was not marked for mounting a TV so you have to find a stud its not hard because the paneling is so thin I just knocked on the wall until it sounding solid and then I lightly pushed on the wall until it stopped giving that is where I put the mount . Remember the studs are just 2x2 studs so only use a # 8 or 10 size screw no longer then 1and a half inch long I used lag bolts and they worked very well the mount is solid. You can use a small drill bit to put a hole where you think the stud is and if you miss the stud you can fill the hole with wood putty of the same color.hope this helps

That helps a lot. Do you recommend a certain brand over another?

I know Jenson makes TVs for RVs I just am using a 24inch LG flat screen. That's why I take it down and store it face down on the bed when traveling .Normal TVs are not made for bouncing around.
