New Columbus Fifth Wheel

My wife and I just bought a 2014 Columbus 365RL Fifth Wheel. Our plan is to sell our house in the spring and go full time. We had a motorhome several years ago and did a year on the road to see if we could go full time. We felt we were not ready to give up the house yet and too confined in the MH and sold it Downgraded to a 27 ft TT for short trips.

Now we are ready to give up the house. After looking at a lot of 5ers, thus one seemed so right we bought it. It is a brand new 2014. It is still at the dealer getting prepped. No hurry, it is still too early to de-winterized it. First trip will probably be in April.

Hi, from the snowbirds in Texas. Were headed back next month. Love that floor plan. What do pull it with? Modification are validated by pictures!

This is for donanddonna, we will be pulling it with a 2012 Ford F-250 diesel Super Duty. Based on how loaded the motorhome and then the travel trailer we once had, we should top out at about 14000 lbs. well within the capacity of the ford.

We will post pics once we pick the trailer up. The dealer is replacing table because it had some dings. We decided to leave the trailer at the dealer because we figured it would more attention if it was on the lot and in their way. We can't go anywhere yet - it is still too cold to de-winterized it.

You should be good to go, but keep in mind pulling is the easy part. Hauling can be a different story. Loaded up, I'd guess you'll have around 2500lb pin weight, in addition to the hitch, stuff in the pickup bed, and passengers. I'd be fine with it, but it's good to know what you got.

Columbus fan

Sounds like you did your homework and well on your way to a great full time adventure. Recently purchased a 320 RS after many months of research/forums/blogs/on sites and camping articles and like you chomping on the bit toget out there. Cheers !
