New from nj ___ coachmen

Hello All

I hope to pick some of your brains about my 2004 Coachmen, Spirit Limited Edition 248TBG travel Trailer. For now I will do some searching and see what turns up.

I have owned this TT for 1.5 years, first TT i have owned. so far it has been a blast with my children... Just before this past trip, I felt sponginess in the floor at the doorway. I pulled up the linoleum, and found an area about a foot into the doorway and ait goes about a foot under the cabinet, countertop

So now I am going to become a TT floor repairman...

Thanks
Michael

Welcome to the forum. For the age of camper if you do not maintain the roof areas that need calking and other trim places water will enter and is the worst enemy of a camper. Enjoy and Later RJD

I had the same trailer but it was a 2003 which I bought used in 08. The floor got soft in the same place. I cut and lifted the linoleum over the bad area, cut a square hole large enough to get into solid material then I removed all the wet insulation and wet osb and dried the area with a fan. The osb literally melted when wet. I put in additional bracing by the existing floor joists to secure the new square of plywood to then screwed down the plywood. Put down the linoleum then finished off the edges with quarter round molding. Oh yeah, and don't forget to find the leak, I think I had to recaulk around the door...

Thanks All, I just spent the last couple of days as Wading Pines campground with a few friends, It was a good time. The campground even provided a bus shuttle to and from the Cranberry festival.... I will be starting another thread about the repair as well

We were there. been going every year for past 8 or so.

Ironically I had similar spirit of america 2003 model...

Roofs on back corner of skylight often leak on these..

But for your area, you may be leaking from window there in kitchen.. Silicon top edge, or check sink and water connections/drain...

Also the top edge of my door leaked. Only found it when I washed it.

I ended up liquid roofing it to permantly seal the roof, caulked everything and sold it for 4 k..

I had mold issues .. You dont find too many off those that dont leak..

My family's health was more important so I bought new...
