New from Oregon

We bought a used 2019 Rockwood Ultra Light 8335BSS and got her in the shop yesterday. We only had about 18" to spare.

I'm looking forward to gaining information here as I'm new to the travel trailer world. We owned a popup camper that we enjoyed for use in the National Forest campgrounds.

We live near the Columbia River, and enjoy trips to the Oregon coast. Our first trip will be to Fort Steven's State Park, looking forward to getting that first trip out of the way. We tow with a Dodge diesel 1 ton.Click image for larger version

We were going on our first 2 day trailer trip to Fort Steven's. Think we might pass on this storm. Holy Moly.Click image for larger version

We stayed at Ft Stevens about 3 1/2 years ago. We camped in the M loop. We were very disappointed in the condition of the CG (M Loop anyways). The Oregon Park Service has not done a good job managing the forest. The forest canopy is so thick that very little sunlight gets through, trees below are dying with thick leaves and dead fall littering the campsite. Moss was 2" thick on the picnic table making it unusable and an inordinate amount of useless brush that should be cleared. The blacktop pad was in sorry shape and just crumbling away. The handle on the CW spigot was busted off so you had to use channel locks to turn the water off/on. The consolation was the excellent museum they have along with the numerous gun batteries you can walk through. Lots of history! Hopefully, Oregon Park Service has taken action on some of these things in the past years.

We're also in Oregon. This looks like a good week to stay put weather wise. Although a good shake down trip in the rain can be a real learning adventure!

Welcome! Now that you know it fits into your shop pull it out and let your first trip be in the driveway. Let’s you become more familiar with the new sounds and the like. If anything is amiss you have your shop right there.
