New from SoCal

New to RVs, never had or rented one. Bought a 2021 sunseeker 2850SLE in august and we LOVE it. Best gamble ever.

We have been to San Bernardino NF, Los Padres NF, Lake Elsinore, Joshua Tree, and Carpinteria SB.

Joined the forums to find places to take the one and three year old, learn about maintenance, and find some the best upgrades.

Not very mechanical, but want to be better.

Welcome to the forum. Another previous SoCal resident, now living in Australia. Ask as many questions as you need, remember there are no dumb question and if you're curious so were each of us at one point in time.

Most importantly remember the trip is as important as the destination.

enjoy and welcome again.

Thanks! And thanks! Yes, the little ones were definitely the deciding factor between a class C and a trailer. Excited to be here.

Cool rig. Spent a week at Carpinteria once - it was awesome. I’ve got to get back there sometime. Welcome aboard from another newbie.

None Mechanical

Welcome to our world!

If you were able to purchase your new baby you have a decent job and can read, you also have a P/C. That being said there is U-Tube an tons of folks here. Go slow and don't get flustered. And last an R/V shop. Not necessarily a dealer.

Thanks for the advice. I watched a YouTube video like 5 times before changing the break-in oil on the in built generator. The next task in putting in an outdoor shower. *fingers crossed*

Welcome to the forums from another SoCal member and congrats on your new unit! You have gone more camping than I have in a long time. Keep up the camping and sitting around the campfire!

Welcome, I owned a Sunseeker before my current rig. I did like it and just recently was at Joshua Tree as well. Were you able to stay in the park with the RV? We ended up staying in 29 Palms and day tripped into the park. Would like to go back again. It was amazing.

We stayed at the black rock campground which is just outside it the park. Inside the park both Indian cove campground (~4 spots) and jumbo rocks campground (~15 spots) are big enough to fit us (31ft) but they were booked. Black rock was a nice little campground and had full bars of cell service if that’s a thing for you. It was our first night away from the little one so it was nice. There is no cell service in the park for JTree.

Okay good to know. We found the campgrounds in the parks full or booked as well.

Welcome from Southern California!
We seem to be in the same general area. We moved from a '96 29' Itasca Class C to our TT. Send me a PM and we can trade phone numbers to discuss your rig and places to go.
