New GEO PRO owners
Hey there.....We're new owners of a Rockwood GEO PRO 14FK, we affectionately call GEO-Dee. She hasn't been on her maiden voyage yet, but we are stoked and can't wait! We've owned several travel trailers, from 26' to a teardrop, and have settled on this model. We've learned we like to feel like we're camping when we go and larger trailers take that away from us. Anyway, she's awesome and has just enough creature comforts without losing her simplicity. Our TV is a 2007 FJ Cruiser which we love and didn't want to part with, so it's a great combination.

Welcome! you are the first Geo-Pro that I have seen on the forums. Love your setup. The wife always wanted an FJ cruiser.

Thanks, all! I just ordered a Lagun table mount as my first mod. The table is quite large and although it rotates, I'd like for it to swing to the side. I will use the existing table top.

Congratulations!!! Love the pillows you set up! Have you taken it out yet? We are picking up our first one ever - the Epro 14FK, which is the same - on Friday. We're so excited! Are you guys loving yours?

That's a nice looking rig!! Congratulations and welcome. Your setup reminds me of when we first started trailer camping nearly 40 years ago in a 16 ft teardrop trailer. We have a lot of great memories and we know you will too.

Yes, we love it and use it often for weekend getaways. I took the two long dinette cushions out and put in a 58X70 mattress topper that folds up for use as a back rest until ready to sleep. I also removed the pedestal table and installed a Lagun table mount. It works great.

Hitch
I notice you don't have any kind of hitch leveling system and/or stabilizer bar. How does it handle on windy interstates or big trucks going by?

It handles fine. We’ve experienced both and no problems. I stay in the right lane on the highways and drive around 60-65. Nothing good happens when you rush...

Thanks. We just sold our 29' trailer. Hooking the hitch stuff up and maneuvering it was too much hassle for the kind of camping we do these days. We are seriously considering the Geo Pro 14FK and simplifying short camping trips.
One other question - don't go to any trouble if you don't know. But I was wondering about the height of the hitch? Looks like you switched your TV to a newer Colorado. Are you using a 4" drop ball mount?

Yes, it’s a 4” drop and the camper is level. We use the GEO-PRO much more than we did our larger trailers. It’s much easier to hitch up and tow, also to maneuver.

If you decide to use a weight distribution/anti sway hitch, I would highly recommend the Andersen hitch. Its innovative, elegant design is lightweight, silent and offers a smooth ride without bouncing. If you look carefully at the way it works compared to the spring bar design, it's pure genius.

Can anyone with a Geo Pro 14FK tell me the bed size? The dinette area, according to the layout chart, is 58' x 70". I'm 6' tall, so I'm wondering, when the dinette is converted into a bed, whether it is still only 70" long? Thanks.

Yes, it’s only 70”. I’m 5’8” and fit just fine, but no room to spare when fully extended. Someone of your height would have to sleep at an angle in order to stretch out. The 14FK has a narrow width with a taller height.
