New guy with Rockwood 2109s

I just signed up for this forum and was researching it for a solution for my water heater being inop on a 2017 Rockwood 2109s.Got it fixed and I will post up about it in another post.My wife wanted an rv to take the dogs camping but didn't understand they take a little fiddling all of the time.I am a 30 year experienced auto/truck mechanic + 2 year degree in electronics +welding. If you own a rv you need to have some skills or spend a lot of money. It seems like satisfaction with rv repair shops is a hit-or-miss affair.I don't trust any body working on my stuff. The dealer where we bought the trailer sells them at a very good price but cant service them in a timely manor-like appointments booked 4 months out .

Welcome oldxr. Hey 2109S! hope you enjoy that TT as much as my "princess" (sarcasm inserted). She too wanted to try camping from a TT and picked the 2109S out and also bought mainly because our children are grown and she wanted to take the dog on vacation with us. (hence. Very similar circumstances. Dealer has great price but service is a little rough (mostly because there over whelmed). Also I never driven a trailer let alone a 21ft trailer. Wish you both all the best and safe travels.

We also have a 2017 2109S, but we took delivery in April 2016 so we're coming up on the end of our second season with it. We love ours!
No major problems with it except last week the converter went bad and I had to replace it. It's not our first, but it's our favorite camper so far.
