Hello,
My name is Steve Bassett. My wife and I are picking up our new Surveyor sp295 tomorrow in Olathe, Ks. We are very excited as we have spent two years searching for just the camper we wanted. We sold our popup last year and finally decided on the sp295. We also have a very excited 5 year old who can hardly wait. We are pulling it with a 2006 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab with tow package and a 5.3 l. The dealer is installing the equalizer/stablilizer hitch and brake controller. Any imput is appreciated as we are new to the fullsize trailer world. I hope to get to know some of you and share experiences.

Congrats on the purchase - When I brought my trailer home my 4 year old was so excited so I bet your 5 year old will be as well.

You will be happy with the equalizer 4 point hitch - one thing is if you can watch them during the install because you will probably have to adjust the hitch after you get it loaded with gear and food.

During your walk thru make sure to note any issues and get them in writing - Hopefully your dealer did a thorough PDI so you have little to worry about.

Thanks for all the welcomes!
Pick up went well and so did the 3.5 hour trip home. Fuel mileage stunk!!!! But the truck pulled her fine. Spent a couple of hours when we got home touching up a few things and fixing some minor factory flaws. We love it! Looking forward to Memorial weekend and our maiden voyage to the lake! Having fun moving things in to her while she is parked at the house.
I'll post pics later hopefully.

That is a lot of information they cram into a couple of hours so I will probably be hitting you guys up with questions as my brain was rather scrambled by the end of the walk thru!
