New member.
Hello,
I am a new member to the Forest River site/forum but have been a proud owner of a 2017 Arctic Wolf 5th wheel for the past 5 months. We have been customizing it and have taken it on several local trips with the longest being 5 hours from Las Vegas to Phoenix to see family.
We are about 2 years from retirement and hope to get into the snowbird lifestyle soon (I do, my wife tolerates the idea). We have been jumping the retirement gun for the past 3 years; bought a retirement cabin on a lake in Wisconsin in 2015 and the camper in 2017. Never hurts to plan ahead.
I am interested in the "tinkering" aspects of the camping lifestyle and have found the forum the perfect place to get information about the 5th wheel and problems with the equipment. Hope to be a contributing member in the future.
As far as work, I am a surgeon in the Air Force with 18 years served/retiring in 2 more years with no plans for work after that. Summers will be spent on the lake in Wisconsin with winters being in the southwest dry camping/boondocking or staying in state parks (hope to convince my wife to stay out 6-8 weeks each winter; hopefully longer once we get into it.

BTW, we will be attending my son's change of command / retirement ceremony after 20 years as a Navy officer next month.
