Hello to all! This is my first post, but I just wanted to say hello, and to let everyone know what a great forum I think this is! I have years of experience on various BMW forums, and the same deal on Northamericanmotering.com, which is the main forum for worldwide Mini Coopers.

Just just a quick overview on my situation: this is the first trailer/RV that my wife and I have ever owned. We wanted to start off slowly, so 2 weeks ago we picked up our new 2021 Flagstaff TB12. So I’m sure most people here know what that is, but for those that don’t the TB 12 is a hard sided, A-frame pop up trailer. The overall length is ~17 feet. We have already been on 1 five day trip....at this incredible campground in Greyland, Washington. And yes....as total newbies we made several mistakes...but we were expecting that! The trailer is loaded, with a heat pump (heater AND AC), a very comfortable “small Queen” bed (or a “full XL”, basically a 54”x80”), a very cool dinette that of course turns into a bed, indoor kitchen with stovetop (no oven), and a whole lot more. We have already purchased a ton of accessories, with many more to come, hopefully with some help from this forum. I have several questions, but I will continue with some searches for now, then submit some threads within the appropriate areas. I will try and post a pic, so for those that have never seen a TB12 can check out just how cool this little trailer is! Happy holidays to all, and everybody PLEASE stay safe! From: Mike.

Thank you so much!! We bought a new 2020 Ford Ranger XLT in July. Otherwise we would be towing a 17’ 2000 Lb trailer with my wife’s f60 Mini Cooper Countryman S All4 LOL! Which actually might have been possible! Her towing capacity is rated at 2000 Lbs. But since I have a “ECU Power Module” installed it can tow somewhere around 2400-2500 lbs. Of course we would never do that, but I suppose it’s possible. My car is a 2017 f56 Mini JCW, with about $30k worth of upgrades, including a stage 3 turbo upgrade from a company called RPM, which combined with a 100 octane “high performance” racing map, gives me 325 hp and 330 Lbs of torque. It’s my race car. Street legal, but barely. But the Ford Ranger is listed at 7500 towing capacity, so it worked perfectly! We plan on keeping this A-frame for 3-4 years, then moving up to a NuCamp Boondock 400. Those line of trailers are incredible!!

Ya no kidding. One thing we are surprised about in the western half of Washington State is how difficult it is to book nights at “quality” RV parks. It seems like every time we find a place we’d like to try out, everything is booked up for at least the next 2-3 months. I suppose it makes sense however. What better way to quarantine then head out in your RV for 4 or 5 days to a site that has very nice, spread out camping/parking spots.
