New member from Wisconsin

Hello everyone
I'm new to forums and trying to learn as much as I can.
We were long time tent campers and we decided to start looking at trailers. We are new to travel trailer camping and we just purchased our first Rockwood mini lite 2109s in November 2015 and the dealer wouldn't show us how to winterize the unit because he wants to make his $100.00 to do it. Any tips on how to winterize and De-winterize. We can't wait to start camping again.
Thanks Steve

Welcome to the FRF! Nice looking camper. Check out youtube for winterization and such. Depends if you prefer the pink liquid vs. air compressor method. Lots of threads on here about pros & cons of each.

Welcome from another Newbie! I have seen threads here on the forum for winterization as well as You Tube. Search is always your friend.

Welcome from another Wisconsinite. Like others said, do a search but seeing as you unit was purchased in November I'm surprised it wasn't already winterized by the dealer.

Thanks you for the Fed back, The dealer did it for free because we purchased the trailer there, but they wouldn't show me how to do it.

Congrats on your new trailer. Once I winterized for the first time I couldn't believe how much the dealerships charge for something so easy

I blow out the hot water heater, then by pass it. Blow out all the taps and showers and toilet and then add antifreeze till I see pink from all taps showers and toilet. Easy peasy

You need to do 2 search's at the Top! 1 for "Wintering/dewinterizing" the other for a"New Dealer"! Then again if you miss just (1) little thing/step in Winterizing your Dealer makes $$ Money! So His 100.00$ Winterizing charge is Cheap Insurance! Youroo!!
