New member, new to camping
New members here and also we are new to camping. Last summer the wife and I bought a used Flagstaff 227 popup, our first camper, after a month or so of fixing it up we were able to get in two 4 day camping trips.
Though it was quite the learning curve for both of us, we were actually able to figure out enough of what we were doing to be able to relax a bit and start enjoying our time together "away from it all".
There were some things about popup camping that we were not to fond of, anyone who has tent or popup camped knows what I am talking about.
Last fall we started talking about possibly replacing the popup with something with a little more substance, you know like walls, a bathroom, a kitchen...........
After much internet research and a lot of figuring out what we like we were ready to go and LOOK at some "real" campers. a couple of weekends ago the MPLS RV show was going on so we went, lots of really nice stuff.
We looked at so many different brands and floorplans, we had a pretty good idea of what we wanted and being that it is just the two of us we didn't need a bunkhouse or anything like that. We also are not real interested in having to buy a new truck to pull a new camper. We looked at the light weight campers and kept getting drawn back to the Rockwood and Flagstaff mini and micro lites.
So last weekend we went to a local RV dealer and looked at the Flagstaff micro lites again and after looking at all the different floorplans we decided on the Flagstaff 25BDS, its a murphy bed model with a huge outside kitchen. They did not have the interior décor we wanted in stock so we ordered up a brand spanking new one, we did get the show special pricing and were able to negotiate in a power tongue jack, a slide out topper and a rear ladder.
The dealer says it will be 8 to 10 weeks, we are so stoked
