New member with a couple of questions
Hello from British Columbia Canada. New to to the Forum having purchased a 2020 Isata 3 FW.
I have a couple of questions: How do you remove the black streaks running from the window gaskets? Our dealer suggested "Black Streak Remover" but it did not do the job. Do not want anything harsh that will damage the paint.
The DEF guage in the instrument display varies from dark to light blue. Does it operate in the same way the fuel guage does with segments disappearing as the DEF is consumed?
Looking forward to a long and happy association here.
Ted

I have used a fiberglass or auto wax to remove the streaks.
Yes the DEF gauge disappears as you use it. The rate of consumption is about 2% of fuel. You should also have a gage on the tank that you can look at when you fuel up.

Thank You
Thank you both for the quick reply.
I will get out my wax tomorrow and have a go at getting rid of the black streaks and Look for the guage on the DEF tank.

I use WD40 and a magic sponge, It comes right off. Wash and apply a good wax. Hit a section a morning and relax afternoons and evenings.

I'm no expert, but I don't think you should be having black streaks running from the window gaskets on a brand new unit.
Have you taken it back to have the dealer look at it? The alternative would be to call Forest River and see if that's a normal condition for that unit.

Welcome from Winnipeg Manitoba
I too had black streaks coming from around the window gaskets
A suggested above any automotive wax will remove them

WD40 should certainly get it off, it's great for stuff like that, but it's chemicals can be very harsh on a finish, ... might try Baby Oil first

Welcome from just east of Toronto. As a motorcyclist, I’ve found that a cleaner called S100 Total Cycle Cleaner works well to easily clean black streaks. You can buy it at motorcycle shops.
