New owner and new member
Happy to have found this site. Love my new trailer with one exception.
Has anyone else had a 2”screw get left on its side under the vinyl flooring? Yes, that really happened. Found it by accident while looking under the sink. Put my hand on the spot. You can even feel the threads. They say they will have to cut the vinyl to get it out and seam seal it. Not a good sign of QC, since they should’ve seen it before rolling it out.
Anyway, everything else seems good to go. Hope so anyway.

Welcome to the forum!
Sounds like the dealer is making good on the warranty and that's good news. Those pesky screws manage to get into odd locations.

Welcome! If the screw isn't under the sink, better take is out; It will eventually be stepped on and punch through, a small cut for removal woud be better.

Welcome to the world of RVs. You will become increasingly disenchanted with industry construction methods but don't let that prevent you from enjoying the use of your trailer.

Welcome from Southeastern PA. Agree 100%. If a screw is in a location that it can get stepped on and punch through, it's better to have them fix it.
Our dealer has a third party vinyl company they use to fix floors, and we had a similar issue. They fixed it and the area they cut the screw out of is barely noticeable.

Yup. They sent me away and told me to use it. They are too busy and will eventually cover it. Thanks.

And I don’t understand how they roll out vinyl on entirely open deck and miss two in screws on their side on what should be an obvious clear deck.

Brooms and vacuums were on back order that week. Supply chain issues.

It popped through. As expected. Unexpected was the “threads” were actually two more STAPLES. All tall enough that the operator had to know they didn’t sink in. And now I can feel a few more just beyond these that are also sticking up some.
Now that I know what I was feeling it makes sense. They hit something OR, something installed underneath after the vinyl went down pushed them back up! That worries me now too. Hopefully nothing is in contact with other staples getting a hold pushed through it.
Pretty phenomenal lack of QC.

If they patch it correctly, the plank pattern of the flooring should allow a repair that's close to invisible. Not that it should be necessary but you may eventually forget about it when your find the bigger problems. They're there. You just don't know what they are, yet.

Yeah. Hoping this isn’t the “tip of the iceberg”.
