New Owner from California
Just purchased a Sunseeker 2290S today. Really excited to be here and learn more about this RVing lark before I get to hit the road. All tips are welcome

Welcome to the Forums. My tip would be to keep things simple while you determine your camping style.

It's time for an update - how did things go? Are you camping yet?
Also there is an FROG event in June in Hemet. Here's the link so you can read more about it.

Trying to figure out what the must-do things are... biggest question I have is if I need to sanitize the water lines & fresh water tank if I want to use that water for drinking. I do have a built-in filter and have a Camco filter for my hose as well... but I don't know if the dealer had any antifreeze in the tank (doubtful in CA but who knows). I'm going to shoot them a note to ask. Any thoughts?

Sanitize is easy. For a new unit I would remove filter from canister and then sanitize. Here's how:

Several variations out there but they all achieve the same thing. (mostly).
Good luck and Happy Camping!

Yay, we picked up our new RVs at the same time. We have ours in our driveway, but have to store it until our first trip. HOA is after us already. Ugh. I will never live in an HOA community again! Really miss our acre of land we used to have in Utah.
Happy camping to you!

Sounds like you are already doing a little driveway camping so what are you unsure about? As you use everything you will become more comfortable. It wasn't until my 3rd trip that I finally was able to relax and just enjoy the trailer.
PS
Looks like other members have headed you in the right direction about your sanitizing question.
Did you have a detailed PDI/walk-through before taking delivery? If they hooked up the water I wouldn't think there would be antifreeze in the lines but you should verify anyway.
