New owner of a Roo 23IKSS

Bought our first RV last year and upgraded same year to the Roo. We live in Albany NY. Our first trip in the new RV is this weekend down in Delaware. Love this new RV and we have not even used it yet. We had most of the essentials but that did not stop me from buying a few things for it already.

I have read this forum allot since I bought the Roo and now I finally became a member so I could post questions.

Congrats on the New Roo! We ended up buying a Surveyor 192t from Alpinhous but loved the 23iks floor plan at Albany RV. The extra weight was just a little outside my comfort zone with the truck I had then. Still very happy with our purchase but bet would love to have all of your living space. Just out of curiosity what did you upgrade from? Enjoy!

We upgraded from a Jayco 19xud. Nice hybrid but small compared to the Roo. We bought the Jayco original because the TV could not handle the Roo. Upgraded the TV and the wife loved the idea as a week later we were looking at the Roo again. She wanted out of the tiny bathroom as soon as possible.

I understand completely! The price on the 19xud was what got us looking last year in the first place. But when I got down there to look at it, we realized it was way too small. The bunks were only 72inches and the bathroom was tiny! We compromised in the 8' wide surveyor and have been very happy. Just for kicks I stopped in to see what they could give me toward the roo this year when I upgraded my tv and I left with my tail between my legs lol. Congrats again!

Looks like we have similar taste. I really wanted the Colorado with the Duramax. But when we sat in it my wife was uncomfortable in the seats. She said she could not drive long distances in it. We never tried the Canyon because for only a few more bucks we got the Tundra Crewmax.

We did not do well in trade-in value for the Jayco, as expected for such a new trailer.

We will be doing the maiden voyage with the 23 IKSS this weekend. Cannot wait.

Your surveyor looks nice and I know we say it. We really like the slides on the Roo but preferred the bathroom on the Surveyor.
