New owner of Sabre 270RL 5th wheel

We traded in our 2007 Innsbruck because we wanted to stand up in bedroom and have no steps to bathroom. We had many great adventures with it including Alaska and Nova Scotia. We are looking forward to many new memories in our new Sabre! We love the living area with the island, fireplace, recliners and the ton of storage space but the great looking Zebra shades are useless keeping out the heat. We just got back from Idaho and had to use sheets and towels to cover windows to help the AC after set up. Does anyone else have experience with the Zebra shades?

We have a couple of fold-able car windshield sunshades in our windows to keep the sun out. They work pretty well and are only around $10 at pretty much any major retailer.

Put them between the shades and the windows and they basically stand up by themselves.

Thanks for the idea! We were told to travel with these shade up because they bang so we would need to fasten the shields somehow. We were think of using heat control window film.
