New Owners of a 2608BS in Texas

Picked up a new 2020 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2608BS and made our maiden camping trip 4 nights in a empty city park in Central Texas this past weekend. Wife is sorting out things for longer trips and the dogs seem to adjust to camping just fine.
We had a TT when the kids where small but now we are empty nesters, if you don't count the Doodle Dogs, so after a 10yr hiatus from camping, we are getting back in!

Hey Frank, welcome from neighboring LA. Sorry to bring this up on ur 1st post but you may want to look at picking up the ball on ur truck hitch a notch or 2. I may be wrong but to me it looks like ur trailer is quite a bit lower on the front end than the rear. Again sorry if Im out of place here. It may pull fine the way you have it though.
Anyway enjoy! Hope to c u in LA

Welcome Frank and Sarah. We moved from San Antonio 14 years ago. Loved camping in the Hill Country. Lots of places to see. Nice looking setup. I think I agree with st4 though...the camper does look a little low in the front. Not bad, and the truck looks perfect. Wouldn't hurt to take a look though and make sure it's all set up right.

I'm not a big doodle guy, but that big dude is just a hoot. The little ones too, but that big one is like "Uh, c'mon, let's go!".

Again, welcome, and hope to see you down the road.

^^^^^^^

Same here, I had to share your dogs on the couch pic with my wife. We both got a kick out of the dog's expressions.

ST4, you're not out of place or wrong, trailer definitely looks nose down. This was a stop at the I35 Rest Stop 102 miles from home. We were level leaving the dealer but since, we packed some things and drove a bit so I figured there would be some adjustments need made. She pulled fine at 65-70 but I still think getting her level is the right move. I'm going over the hitch manual to see how to make the right adjustment and this weekend we will be pulling from storage and headed to a level parking lot to get things sorted. Hopefully then we can get to the scales and get all weighed up.
