New Rockwood Freedom PUP owners

After decades of strictly tent camping, my wife and I are learning the ways of what I call "comfort camping." We purchased a 2010 Rockwood Freedom 1950 popup - and bid a long overdue farewell to porta-potties and Thermarests. So far we love it, and so do our young kids.

My wife found this forum for me so that I could learn from others, and maybe even share some of my ideas. My first learning on the forum was about LED mods so that we could prepare to dry camp.

In addition, our PUP did not come prepped for the hanging wardrobe. So, looks like I'll need some direction before drilling into the PUP ceiling to insert some rivets. Experts: I'm listening for your advice here.

My family misses our old camping spots in Northern Cal in the redwoods. If any folks have camping rec'd in Southern Cal, we'd love to here from you.

Welcome to FRF and congrats on your new Rockwood.
I'm sure someone will come along to help with ideas on the hanging wardrobe.

Take care and .

I just moved up from a popup. Didn't really do any mods w/ it. Make sure to get tire covers to ptotect them from the sun (really only mod/accesory purchase).

Nice thing about going from the popup from tenting is the fact you'll have fridge for your food instead of a cooler (reserved for beer after that).
