New Roo in TN

Just an intro, I have bought a New Rockwood Roo 233S, and we have a trip planned for the Smokies/Gatlinburg next month.
Lookin' to have a good time. I've noted the problem with the bunk panels and lamination coming undone, are there any other problems we should especially look out for? It's a 2012 Model we ordered from RVdirect.com.

To ROO It May Concern

We, too, are awaiting the October delivery of a 233S Roo. We got caught in a pleasant, but frustrating situation. We bought the 2012 at 2011 prices (so we were told by RV.Direct and Forest River reps), but the new decor was unavailable for us to see. After 11 years in a popup, the hybrid was the only thing that caught our attention. We spent several weeks trying to get images/samples of the 2012 interiors. Oak cabinets have become hickory, but nowhere where they can be seen. Sofa and dinette fabrics have changed from 2011 to 2012, but nowhere to be seen. "Hey, we are camping", was my comment to the problem, but it is frustrating ordering an expensive item "sight unseen". After reading about all the modifications done on new TTs, I can change the floor covering, since it is the only real unimporved decor item.

you may want to post your questions in the Roo sub-section, under Expandables/Hybrids here.

the issues you speak of, occur in all brands of hybrids, not just Roo/Shamrock.

Cub/Kodiak/Jayco/Coyote/Starcraft/Trail Lite and others all have had this occur in some of theirs.
sometimes it's poor quality control at the factory and sometimes it's poor maintenance by the owners.

just keep watch on water intrusion in the bunk frame/hinge area.

Welcome to the forums and welcome to the wonderful world of being a part of the "Roo Kroo"!! We have a 23SS and love it. We camped 135 days last year and in every kind of weather. Didn't bring it home to stay till Dec. 10!

Again, welcome to the forums. Great place full of friendly faces and lots of info.

Welcome to the forum, we to just bought a new 233S this July, and joined the forum. We had a pop-up for 6 years and have camped in our Roo 3 three times and love it. We did get a 2011 however, in the oak/vineyard. We liked this interior and bought ours from a non-local dealer just so we could get that interior and a good deal of course. Plus no one around had the Roos so we made our decision without going through one, but alot of research. Haven't seen the new colors, the Hickory sounds nice. Good luck, hope you enjoy your new camper, we definilty enjoy ours, its a great layout. Happy Camping.
