New RV Family PGH, PA
Hello, after a few years of planning and finally getting a good TV, we took the plunge and take delivery of a 2022 Coachman APEX 256BHS on Friday. Family of 5 looking forward to an adventure filled summer. I'm sure we'll have plenty of questions once we get rolling. Looking forward to good advice from this community.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new Apex.
When you do your walkthrough, make certain that you know how everything works and please don't sign the finance and final papers until everything is fixed. Once you sign those final papers you'll be shuffled off to the service department and those are backed up for months.

Thanks for the advice, I've read a lot of horror stories so I planned on being thorough. The place we purchased from (KeystoneRV Center) has a 2 hour orientation / walkthrough. The sales guy says they do too much volume to have anyone coming back right away (taking that with a grain of salt). I'm familiar with the BOAT acronym (Break Out Another Thousand) and from what I've read, RV needs one too...

Keystone RV Center is pretty good to work with and they also are great supporters of FROG, don't be surprised if you happen to see a new dealership name while your there as I have heard they were bought out by Pete's RV. Good luck, take your time and enjoy!!!

welcome
we bought our Shamrock from them 6 years ago - I have had good experiences with them and use them for servicing it. anything we found in the walk through was fixed right away (but we did not find much really) -
The last time i wanted them to work on it, they were booking appointments 4 months out, so there is a wait to get in for service.

Welcome and congratulations, from the other side of PA. Maybe we'll get lucky and run into you. 100% agree with reverse_snowbird with saying to check everything during your walkthrough.
Our 2022 Wildwood X-Lite had tons of random, little factory issues. We took a firm stance telling them, "It's not leaving your lot until it's fixed." It seemed to give our dealer an awful lot of incentive to fix it.
We're also fairly new RV Owners, and I have to say, our first shakedown trip really got us more info on what we really needed as opposed to what we thought we needed.

Welcome from Wisconsin. Congrats and enjoy your 2022 Coachman APEX 256BHS. There is a PDI checklist under the Library tab above you can print and take with you when you pick up your camper.

Thank you! I've seen some pretty good reviews of Keystone on these forums, I'm glad we purchased there.

It's good to hear of a few experiences that people have had at KeystoneRV. My initial impressions were good.

Thanks, I'm planning on going over everything with a fine tooth comb. That PDI checklist in the library is a great outline.

Just keep in mind things happen. Sometimes it's part of the adventure, sometimes its not. Boy the people on this forum could tell you some stories, we all survived. Take it slow and enjoy.
