Smile New RV Owner (hopefully)

Hi. My name is Jason Beck. I live in Lake Stevens, WA. I am an aircraft inspector for the Boeing Company at the Everett Delivery Center in Everett, WA. Most of my time has been on the 787. I work Preflight And Delivery.

I have put a 2021 Forst River Cherokee Wolf Pup 16FQBL on hold and hope to get it end of May or early June. I've never owned an RV although we rented a Winnebago Minnie on Feb 6th, 2021 and took it to the Grand Canyon. What a trip!!! The GC is beautiful. My Chev Silverado 2WD 1500 Ext Cab with 5.3L and 3.08 gears did wonderfully. The Minnie weighed 6,000 lbs before we put our stuff in it. I was pretty heavy as the truck weighed 6,100 lbs. Anyway, I figure I'll be fine towing the Wolf Pup. I am so excited to own one. It's always been something I've wanted to do when I retire. But I found out my lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, got worse in July so now I'm thinking I may "retire" (read - die) sooner than 2027 so I want to go ahead and get one now and if I do remain alive then I'll have it paid for when I retire.

Is there anyone else that has a 16FQ or 16FQBL?? How do you like it? It seems perfect for me. Small enough yet with some really nice features.

Hi and Welcome to FRF from Camano Island.
You should ask your Wolf Pup-specific questions in the Cherokee sub-forum, not the Welcome Mat section.

Hi and welcome from Bow WA, just north of you.
We decided on a mid sized RV but it does need to be towed with a 3/4 ton.
There are lots of great camping east and north of you.

Thank you Debit. Please feel free to share what you know about great camping east and north of me. I have been into the Nat'l Forest to Verlot, Turlo, Gold Basin and Bedal. I've been to Baker Lake but never camped there. I hope to learn about other places. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Boeinggav, we are going to Howard Miller park in Rockport on Highway 20 in May, and often go over the pass to Windrop in June for fishing. We enjoy boondocking in the areas all around Windrop

Up north, we like the Cedars RV park in Ferndale.
