New RVer - taking it one step at a time
I'm dropping by to say hello before getting started here. I really wanted to be a member on a site that was geared towards my TT family so here I am. There seems to be lots of good people with good support.
Ok, here's my story:
While owning a RV has been on my "wishlist" for some time but was never within my reach. Then last September I became an owner sooner than expected after finding a great deal too good to pass up.
I brought a Forest River Cruise Lite 20RBXL. I really like my interior but would had pass on it if I saw the other option instead. (Later I learned to ask about interior options) I didn't get my dream trailer but I didn't end up with the price tag of a dream trailer either. What I did end up with is a trailer that really fits my needs, which looks very nice and more importantly I look forward spending time in.
Due to weather events I got a very slow start out of the gate after taking delivery. Every time I had plans for a trip there would be weather warnings posted about either strong rain storms & flooding or extremly high winds (60+mph). So much so that to this day if there's a weather warning I get asked if I have camping plans. (I had the same problem with tent camping)
Being older and going about it alone is not so easy and at times it was a bit over whelming. I took it one step at a time. Once I got the hang of something I would move on to the next item on the list. I'm currently dealing with the awning which is still a work in progress but now I know when I went wrong last time.
Now I live to get out and go.... two weeks before my next trip but who counting? LOL
Take Care!
PS: "Plucky" means brave which reflects my journey.
