New Texas Member-Lake Livingston

Picking up my 3rd travel trailer on Tuesday. Rockwood 2606WS. Has more than I really need with the solar setup since I'm always plugged in. Also has the two A/C units. I don't do much camping, just use it to go to shuffleboard tournaments and need a place close to venues to relax for a few minutes between events. Have 30amp and 50amp hookup at home so I'm plugged in there too.
I prefer a center bath unit but this one caught my eye and all the others I called about were already sold.
Previously had a Gulfstream Vintage Cruiser 19ERD, traded it in on a 2018 Open Range 2410RL which I really liked but tornado took it away last year. Look forward to this forum being as helpful as the Open Range forum was.

that brown water at livingston lake is so disappointing. its like a ocean in the afternoon even with a light breeze. camping is great , food fantastic. so many trashed out homes with nice homes right next door and bars on home windows , even saw bars on windows in a unfinished home being built. crime sees to be high there.

That's true Thomas, like a lot of small towns in East Texas and other places I'm sure, lot's of meth heads out there. But not as bad as the bigger cities with all the violent crimes and road rage shootings. The muddy water is from all the rain bringing the mud down the river but it gives the fish a place to hide. Lots of new homes now like mine in several subdivisions that were destroyed by the tornado. Of course there's the other side, the ones that were either not insured or they just took the insurance check and walked away leaving them as is.

Welcome Duke from just down the road a bit. We've camped at Livingston a few times (Lake Livingston State Part, and Wolf Creek) and really like it there. When I had my boat, I used to launch out of Lake Livingston State Park and cruise around, then spend some time at Pine Island. I've heard it has gotten really crowded and kinda trashy there now, but I think it's still a pretty nice place.

Anyway, glad to have you aboard, and hope to see you down the road!
