New to frog community

GOOD MORNING THIS IS MY FIRST POST AND I'M HOPING YOU ALL CAN STEER ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. PURCHASED MY NEW SPARTAN 1032 DEC. 13TH, AND JUST GOT BACK FROM 4 WK'S IN FL. I'D LIKE TO SAY THE TRIP WENT WELL BUT I HAVE SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH MY TRAILER. THE FIRST IS ON THE WAY DOWN MY GENERATOR STARTS AND RUNS WHILE TRAVELING DOWN THE ROAD. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT I DON'T HAVE AN AUTOMATIC GENERATOR START SWITCH ON MY UNIT SO I HAVE NO IDEA WHY IT'S HAPPENING. I HAD TO TAKE THE WIRES OFF THE BATT. 2ND AND MOST SERIOUS IS MY BLACK WATER SENSORS READ EMPTY ALL THE TIME SO I HALF TO GUESS WHEN TO EMPTY THE TANK. FIRST TIME WAS OK BUT THE SECOND TIME THE TANK FILLED TO THE TOP AND BLACK WATER CAME OUT ON TO THE TOP OF MY TANK AND INTO MY SUB FLOORING. NEEDLESS TO SAY THE NEW TRAILER SMELL IS GONE! 3RD IS MY 6 PT LEVEL SYSTEM. RIGHT SIDE ORANGE LIGHT BLINKS ALL THE TIME SO THE ONLY WAY TO GET JACKS UP IS MANUAL MODE. THERE ARE OTHER MINOR ISSUES BUT THESE ARE THE MAJOR PROBLEMS.

MY QUESTION IS , I GOT AN APPT. WITH THE DEALER TO LOOK AT MY TRAILER BUT SHOULD I ALSO NOTIFY PRIME TIME OR FOREST RIVER OF THE PROBLEMS MYSELF OR TRUST MY DEALER WILL?

ANY ADVICE WILL BE APPRECIATED

Welcome aboard!

What generator do you have? Your dealer could be wrong, or you might have a short on the control.

Holding tank indicators are always troublesome. I think all of us are pretty much used to not relying on them. If it has always read empty, and nothing more, it's likely a wiring matter.

Use the forum search feature as I believe others have had the same problem with the 6 point.

I'm sure you'll be sorted out without too much trouble!

Welcome to the FROG family!

Keep a good log of all the issues you are having so you can share with your dealer. (And give them the opportunity to work with FR for your issues as they will be paid by FR directly since warranty should cover it.)

Yes, RVs can be little divas (need lots of attention), but overall it's well worth it!!

Happy trails!

The sensors are not my real concern. I realize once they get scum on them they become very unreliable. My main concern is that once the tank got full, black water leaked out into the underbelly of my trailer and filled up my trailer with the smell of sewage. I think either the vent tube or the down tube from the toilet was not properly installed or perhaps there's a crack in the top of my black tank.

Yeah, your mention of that struck me odd too. Can't speak to your model particularly, but most now with ABS tanks used for black the ports are solvent-welded. I'm of a "particular personality" and even though my dealer thought I was off-kilter, I filled all holding tanks to capacity as part of the PDI to do a proof test of them! Definitely needs to be checked out to see what's not right, and I'm sure there would be little argument with replacing the underbelly material because of this.
