If one was the 'best and safest' then it would be the only one people would buy. You don't say what kind of RV you want, they all have their pluses and minuses. If you're looking for something to tow first consideration would be what kind of tow vehicle you have and what it can safely tow. Then set a budget. Next make a list of needs and wants. Try going to a local campground and ask people what they like/dislike about their particular model. There are sooo many options available to you don't buy the first one you look at. Visit several dealers and do your research. Consider what maintainance is required. Good luck with your search.

For what it's worth, I've been RV'ing since 1967 and if I were to give advice knowing what I know now, I would look for a used unit that's in really good shape that all the bugs have been worked out and half the price. Many people buy a RV, use it three or four years and for what ever the reason can't do it anymore. I've found used RV's come in two conditions, Immaculate or trashed out. Most people worked hard to get a RV and take very good care of it. Then if you like RVing later but the new unit your happy with. Floor plan is the most important thing in my opinion. RV's are pretty much made alike. Some have nicer wood, better appliances, bigger TV's, but built about the same. Good luck.

RV types are motorhomes, 5th wheels, travel trailers, folding and truck campers. You need to narrow down the field.
Start with which of these appeal to you. All have pros and cons.

xomkid awakened a thread which has been asleep almost 3 years. The OP initiated the thread and never logged in again.
I don’t think I’d spend any more time answering his questions.

First figure out what you want to do
So, there are a lot of things you can do, places to stay. Figure out what you want to do. Have you towed a trailer before. They have their own challenges. Will you plan on staying in parks, just boondocking anywhere, or a combination of both. How many in your party? What kind of budget? For motor homes, generally, class Cs are the cheapest, A's are generally bigger and more expensive. Bs are the most expensive especially for the size.
For me there are just 2 of us. I hate trailers. I'm not comfortable driving a bus. I wanted to be able to go anywhere and be able to park with cars. I didn't like what I heard about slides. I didn't want a wet bath. I was between a small C on a truck frame and a B van. I Compromised with ISATA 3 RB.

And yet there are those who just start typing to a posting that was made in 2017, and don’t read the discussion about that very thing.
I’m guessing that reading the thread sequence is a lost cause.

There must be parts missing from what I can see. Unclear how it became new or where the rest of it is.

xomkid resurrected this thread, in post #3, making it new again.

Dan, what part of my comment was out of line? I was just commenting and yes I didn't look at the post date until after it was posted.

I'm not speaking for Dan... just my thoughts...
I don't know that what you did was considered 'out of line' but rather not a good way to post to get your point across if you were simply giving general information about buying a R/V.
Depending on how some folks have their post delivery set up, (yes there are other ways to view posts besides being on this forum, such as in an email digest) they will read the most recent post and reply without 'exploring' the relevance of the post in context.
My suggestion is if you read an old post that has been dormant a while and think there is something to be said that is in the general interest of all, start a new thread.
With that said... there are LOTS of folks who don't read anything but the most recent post and make comments or suggestions on how to solve the OP's issue or go off in another direction without knowing the issue was solved many posts/pages back.
My hope is that the OP of EVERY post who comes here asking for help would return and post and say they found the issue and the thread could be marked SOLVED. I know... I know... I'm dreaming!
