New to the camper/toy hauler life.

Greetings from West Central Florida, my wife and I just purchased a new to us 2010 Forest River Work and Play WPT19UFB, it will be used to haul our 2019 Honda Pioneer 1000-5 side by side. We mostly go to local MudBog events, and the occasional Mountains trip. In order to get it to fit, we removed the happijack bed, and deflated the tires to 8psi.
It is our first camper ever, so I’m sure I’ll have a few newbie questions. I know it’s like anything new, just gotta tinker with it. But I’d appreciate any helpful advice or tips.
Finding information on this specific model I
Has been difficult, (aside from what the specs and values are).

What model? I believe FR changed W&P around 2017-2018 changing the frame and body to a much lighter unit overall and doing away with the fifthwheel models. We had a 2016 25WB which we enjoyed. It had 6K axles with E rated 16” tires. The ramp doors are steel tubing on 16” centers rated for 3500 lbs. other than adding an additional A/C, we had no trouble. I can tell you the advertised hitch weight is too low. Ours was advertised as 600lb with a GVW of 6,600. I weighed it on the way home from the dealer, it weighed 7,200lbs brand new with nothing on board.

I have the 19UFB. And I agree with you about the hitch weight, mine specs out online for 1,073lbs, but with the trailer empty and having 1/3 tanks of black, grey and fresh water it squats my 2500HD three inches from normal. My GVWR is 9873lbs and dry weight of 5500lbs. It’s built like a tank though. Floors are solid, walls are good, leaf springs are still in good shape, tires have about 2 years on them, and the bearings were recently serviced. I’m currently trying to replace any broken or missing parts, lights, and reflectors. And the 2 batteries the previous owner had were two 6volt golf cart batteries. I’m thinking about going to 2 Marine/RV 31 series deep cycle batteries; for longevity.
Any thoughts?
