New to the Camping World

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My family and I bought our 1st camper earlier this year. My wife and I really loved the idea of camping and envisioned ourselves doing it a little later in life. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with Leukemia in July 08 and started treatment immediately. She responded well and so we rethought things and later in life became now. We bought a 2008 Flagstaff repossession and I have already received a bunch of help through the great people on the site. I have spent most of my life in the Trucking industry whether it be operation a heavy duty wrecker or driving a big rig. I wanted to say thanks for the help and I look forward to someday meeting some of you in our travels.

Welcome to the world of camping. Sorry to hear about your wife having Leukemia - good to hear that she responded well. My wife had Breast Cancer - has now been cancer free for 13 years. VERY THANKFUL I was a transportation engineer (truck driver) for too many years to count. Hang in there keep loving & looking out for each other, trust you have many years RV'ing.
