New to the Forum
The wife and I are not new to camping but are new to Travel Trailers. We've looked at tons of models at RV dealers and Shows. We rented a class c motor home to see if that was the direction we wanted to go. While we enjoyed it, taking our residence with us everywhere wasn't fun for us. So we decided on a Travel Trailer.
After looking at all the models we've settled on a Wildwood X-Lite 241QBXL. It has everything we've been looking for. Any tips, Horror Stories, Advice?
I'm planning on getting a Ford F150 Crewcab with a 3.5 V6 engine and 10 speed transmission with the tow package and PowerScope Trailer Tow Mirrors.
Thanks

Welcome from north central Florida. I don’t know about the Wildwood, but we love our TT.

Welcome to the forum from West Virginia. We now own a Flagstaff travel trailer, but owned a Salem ( brother to the Wildwood ) before this one. There are always little things that pop up that need fixed, but in my experiences, you can get most of those taken care of in the first year. Make sure you get the hitch setup right to start with and that will save a lot of stress on you going down the road. Main thing is to take your time and enjoy your travels and the trailer. You might try a search in the forum for lists of things you may need and want to take along. Happy camping.

Thanks for all the advice. It really was extremely helpful, especially about the murphy bed. Well, this last week we pulled the trigger and bought
2018 Ford F-150 4WD Lariat w/ 3.5L Ecoboost & 10 Spd Transmission (His name is Red)
Truck has Back Up Assist and Max Towing pkg (13,200lbs according to Ford)
A Husky TS WDH
2018 Forest River Wildwood X-Lite 241QBXL
I guess that makes us official. We're not planning on full time but a week or two at a time at most.
Now we're just waiting to pick it up. And planning our 1st 3 trips.
Billy
