New to the group and to travel trailer ownership

Good evening,
With all the craziness going on we decided to homeschool this year, and since I work 4 10s we have a 3 day weekend every week so we decided to take the plunge into the camper world.
We just picked up our Salem FSX 178BHSK last week and drove it across town and parked in Houston for the weekend. Not sure who thought it was a good idea to go to Houston in August, but we survived.
We are new to the travel trailer world so I plan to spend some time reading all the great information on this site, but feel free to throw me a bone and let me know what I need to know.

There are many great camping spots all around Arlington. Check out the state parks and COE parks in our area. Are you handy with tools? Get a basic set of hand tools and a multi meter. Learn to use it if you are not familiar.
Welcome aboard!

Actually, while it's hot in Houston, the humidity has gone down to below 50% and it's fairly pleasant (compared to normal).

Welcome to the rving community and feel free to ask questions. It's a learning curve and you're going to learn a lot fairly quickly.
