New to this site

I am new to this site and wanted to just say 'hello' to everybody. I have been tent camping for over 50 years and had to go to a pop-up trailer to save my back and knees from further abuse. Although a pop-up has its own type of jobs required, its amazing what a power drill can do to unfold the stabilizers without your arms going out. I am trying to get all the chores that require muscle power, and replace them with battery power. Having fun learning about tent trailer camping.

New to this site

Thank you everyone. My Popup is not new, its a 2012 Rockwood Freedom that I purchased several years ago but seldom used. Now that I am retired my wife and I are continuing our camping experience. One thing I am curious about is installing a solar panel so I can charge up the battery, for the lights and the water pump for dry camping. The new Rockwoods have the option of a 45W panel, so I think I should look into that, opinions are greatly appreciated.

Welcome from the State of Missouri. Enjoy your RV, It is always nice to find ways to make Camping easier for you. Get a inverter to plug in to your tow vehicle that will charge your power drill while you are on the road.
Good luck and safe camping.

I don't think I need a generator much too noisy. I do have a inverter in my car but won't this require firing up my engine all the time to keep the car battery from discharging.
