Newbie from GA

Hey everyone! So I'm new to this group and new to camper/trailer camping. I grew up camping with my grandparents using a pop-up but I have never owned one or have any knowledge on dealing with campers. Anyways, I am in the market currently for either a pop-up or hybrid to start off with. I really like the Flagstaff 29SC and 27KS and the Shamrock and Roo series. In addition, I'm looking at trading a minivan in for an SUV (would prefer truck but it's the wife's car and she'll be doing the majority of daily driving). I've been looking at Expeditions, Tahoe/Yukon, Infinity QX80, and Nissan Armada's. Haven't decided on one just yet but I know they all have great towing capacities for what I'm looking for (just need to ensure I get a tow package of some sort).

Well, thanks for adding me and I look forward to hearing from everyone on their experiences and stories as well any valuable knowledge. Take Care.

V/r,

Steven Wilson

Welcome from Texas!
Please let us know what you end up purchasing and perhaps post a picture of your new truck and tow vehicle.

First thing is to learn to use the search capability. A lot of your question or thoughts probably have been addressed before

Welcome from SoCal!

If you are going to get an SUV, it is even more imperative that you learn all about payload capacity, tongue weights, and weight distribution hitches. Test drive a truck - they ride as nicely as do SUVs.
