Newbie from the uk

Hi all
I have had a little flagstaff for about 4 years now and I love it , the only down side is the door is on the wrong side for uk camp sites , other then that I find it's great for me to tow and use , I'm sure I will find a lot of answers to some questions I have on this forum .

do you have a Flagstaff popup or travel trailer(caravan)?

there are owner's section for both types here. it would help if you posted the year and model number.

yes, since we drive on the wrong side here, our trailers have the doors on our curb side/passenger side.
same complaints come from your Down Under mates.

It's a little popup flagstaff 176 LTD, I say little but I can't pull or push it without help , I'm thinking of getting a motor mover fitted on it ,like I said the door being on the wrong side lol that means I can't just reverse it in position ,I have to drag it around to face the right way , not on all sites though .

I think if you check it out a little closer you'll find the door is on the correct side. They built the campsites wrong!

Just kidding. I bought a Flagstaff 206ST MAC last year. It's been years since I owned one and I'm still in the re-learning process.

Post some pics of your camping adventures if you get a chance. We love looking at pics.

Good luck and happy camping.

Whereabouts in the UK, Doreen? DW and I are ex-pats from Leyland (Lancs) now living in Anacortes, Washington State.

I note that your "little camper" has a wheel under the tongue jack. My thought would be that, when setting up: if you had say, 2 or 3 light pieces of wood , maybe 4 inches or so wide and 3 - 4 feet long, you could place them sideways under your tongue wheel, and then by alternating the wood slats, manually rotate the trailer 180 degrees so that it sits the correct way around on your campsite. Might be a bit of a hassle but might make your campouts a little more enjoyable and it might be a one-person job.

I can see how that would work. Or, you could use a trailer dolly

You got that right, Doreen. My family had a hardware store on Towngate (George Damp & Sons). They closed down after everyone in my generation declined to take it on. I think it's a floor coverings store these days and has an exercise club upstairs.

My wife's family (the Nixons, who had a greengrocery near the Gasworks) included a well-known Lostock Hall builder (married to her mom's sister) called Tom Peacock. I think her cousin Barbara still lives in Lostock Hall. My sister (Jean) and a couple of cousins still live in Leyland.

We've been in the US since 1968 and currently live in a small seaside town on the north-western coast of mainland Washington. We've both retired. The town we live in is about 70 driving miles from the US/Canada border. My sister reckons it's where God goes on his holidays and it's the only place we've lived in the US that she's jealous of!
