Newbie to the fifth wheel scene....

We started off in with a Jayco Jayflight Swift 264BH several years back. With the family growing, between our own kids and our second kids(friends) we decided that its time to upgrade a tad bit. Went from 26ft no slides to about 35.5 ft with slides. I cant wait for our first trip in a few weeks in something that we can move around in with room to spare plus our own room. I'll definity be around looking for advice and hopefully give some down the road.

Welcome! 5er's are the way to go....gets some getting used to towing especially backing but the feel going down the interstate is so much nicer!
We made a similar jump from a 31' TT to our present 37' 5er. My biggest worry was having enough truck to pull it. Traded a 2500 Silverado gasser on a 3500 Sierra dually diesel....gets the job done well.

Backing up a fifth wheel is a 8itch if you are a seasoned bumper pull RV'er. It'll take practice and patience to finally get it so hang in there.

Please be careful and be extra aware of tree branches and other obstacles. Your fifth wheel is taller and you may not be able to go the same places without risking damage. I'm getting a new roof because of damage done to it from a tree branch in my father's subdivision during a family reunion last month. Never had a problem with my bumper pull and it was a very expensive lesson to learn-came in at nighttime and didn't see the branch.
