Newbies to the whole RV Lifestyle

We just got a very lightly used 2017 26' Salem Cruse Lite 263BHXL let the learning curve begin! Starting with... I just noticed that it loos like some kids might have been jumping on the bed and broke the center support that can only be seen from the forward storage doors, there is no way anybody can fit through the hatch covers does anybody have any experience with fixing the center support and the best way to get access to it to sister on a couple more support 2X2's on either side of the broken 2X2?
Thank you in advance for any advice anybody might have for a complete RV Newbie that is too cheap to take an easy fix to a RV repair shopClick image for larger version

What is above the plywood? You cannot lay down and slide into the storage compartment?

This video shows the bed being lifted at about 6:15 minutes:

And if you bought it from a dealer - shame on him for not showing it to you!

Measure the distance from the edge to the support from below. Go up top with that measurement and put bugle head screws through the plywood into that support starting in the center in order to pull it up into place, when it is up where it belongs do the same with a sister on each side, then go below and attach the sisters to the damaged support.
