"Newish" RV'er
Hello Folks.
I poked around here a bit last night (I work Graveyard) and registered. Today we confirmed our hold/financing of a 2000 Rockwood Mini Lite 2104s That I will be towing with my Nissan Frontier 4WD 4.0 Liter.
We/I spent a LOT of time researching, etc. before deciding to go with this RV.
A big part of it is that a Local Dealer had it for sale versus us having to drive to Spokane, WA or some other distant city from where we live in the Wenatchee, Wa area. Another big part was the fact that it really has all the amenities we want, as well as looks incredibly beautiful inside.
We are "newish" RV'ers in the fact that previously we had a Tent Camper that we pulled around, and this will be the first full camper that we have owned.
I spent an incredible amount of time closely figuring out tow capacity etc before we pulled the trigger on the Mini Lite 2104S. Watching "Josh the RV Nerd" videos was immensely helpful and educating. I actually might of Bought from Josh if he had a unit that met our needs, since he ships across America.
As I go through the break-in / repair processes of owning a New RV, I expect to utilize these forums quite a bit. I am well aware of the issues of having a mobile "second home" since I did multiple repairs/upgrades on our previous tent camper we sold last week finally. I am not intimidated with that.
Of course I hope, as any new RV buyer does, that our troubles are minimal. Anyway, I always appreciate forums as I have always learned the most from other folks who have done it before me.
