No spare tire

Hi, new here! Purchased Sunseeker 2021, 2850sf Class c. Doing a check on equipment, we found no spare tire, is this normal?

Probably, check the optional equipment list.

This is normal

The Sunseeker 2850S in part pf the LE line. The LE models are defeatured, probably to make the pricing more attractive. A spare tire is not included.

Look at the last page of the 2021 Sunseeker brochure. Classic and Transit models come equiped with a spare tire, but MBS and LE models do not. https://www.forestriverinc.com/broch...erbrochure.pdf

I’m a bit surprised that the lack of a spare tire went unnoticed until after the purchase. Nonetheless, you can still buy your own spare tire/wheel and install it.

I was also a little surprised to find some units didn’t include a spare tire.

Many Class C's do not have spare tires. The assumption seems to be that you need roadside assistance to change a tire on the rig. Of course, it would be more convenient to have a spare and not have to rely on roadside assistance to have one with them.

You’re correct in that many class Cs do not come with spare tires. However, the 16 inch rims on the typical class C are quite manageable. In nearly 25 years of class C ownership, no one other than me has ever removed/installed the wheels on my rigs.

I wouldn’t buy a class C that didn’t come with a spare tire/wheel, and to your point, that eliminates a lot of them.

Some of that is correct...but many times it is weight related on lighter chassis (IE, Promaster and Mercedes)
