Hi, Von!
Welcome to the forums. You'll get all the advice you need and then some from all the good people here. I've been doing it for years!! I would not be where I am in my camping adventures without the good folks on this forum. I don't even own a FR product anymore as I switched brands but I still keep coming back because there just is no better place to get good camping info!!

Oh, and btw... coming from a 61 year old... 60 is not old!! (if it is, I'm in trouble!)

Hi! noticed you said 'A leap of faith'. That is the custom lettering I put on my last rv. That was 40 years ago. I am now 73 and just purchased a 28' rv and will be leaving for a year + trip in August of next year. I wish you all the best on your endeavor. You are so much younger, I am sure you will be fine. HAVE FUN! Stephanie

Welcome!!

You will find many experienced owners with tons of advice. Don't ever hesitate to ask a question. I also subscribe to the "use it your driveway first approach.". Remember, " everyone else's trailer is not your trailer!". It's OK to choose your own path.

Welcome from NW Arkansas! We’ve been RV camping for many years and not only subscribe to the "use it your driveway first approach”’ we still do it before every trip. We get everything loaded the day before a trip and spend the night in the camper. Seems like nearly every time, we think of something we have forgotten and we only have to go in the house and get it!
There’s a ton of information on this forum available through the search function and many knowledgeable folks willing to answer your questions.
Get ready for many enjoyable times!
Oh, and I’m going to be 74 in less than 2 months.

Welcome! We are surrounded by great camping areas here in north Texas. Check out the corp of engineer (COE) parks in our area. In a couple of years you can buy a lifetime pass to all national parks and half price camping at COE campgrounds. It can pay for itself in one weekend.
